We all love plastic. It's a great thing. But our over-use of it is killing our planet. For years I've been frustrated by the amount of plastic I throw out from packaging, especially from electronics and cosmetics. This has got to stop. We all need to re-think our use of plastic. I'm not advocating to eliminate plastic, just to reduce the use of it where possible and certainly eliminate it as a single-use product.
Through this blog I hope to call out products and behaviors that abuse plastic. I also invite you to share your pet peeves with me here. Send me photos and stories and I'll post them. But hopefully this won't be a soap-box for me to yell into the wind. I hope we can get manufacturers and consumers to be more mindful about plastic.
If you aren't concerned about plastic, I invite you to go to your local recycling or waste facility and see the amount of plastic in our waste stream. And then, to go to a beach and walk 20 paces and count the number of plastic pieces you'll see. It's alarming.
